CIVL Career Fair 2025

The CIVL Career Fair 2025 was successfully held on February 11. Building on the overwhelming response from last year, the Department hosted the event again this year to  provide a platform for our students to gain insight into the civil engineering field, particularly what internship and graduate opportunities are available, career prospects, operations of the field, and work culture.

Beyond teaching and training students in the classroom and laboratories, the Department also assumes a very important role in liaising between our graduates and the industry. This year, we were thrilled to welcome to the Fair seven leading civil engineering companies: AECOM, Arup, Chun Wo, Dragages, Meinhardt, the SJ Group, and WSP. On the day, each company showcased various facets of their work and projects to our students, and the students had a chance to introduce themselves and connect with the industry leaders and potential employers, as well as receive valuable advice and guidance on their careers.

The booths that the company set up were complemented by presentations where representatives from the companies shared their work experience and discussed the skills and qualifications that are necessary for various roles in the civil engineering field. Overall, the companies were very impressed with the quality and enthusiasm of our students, making us very happy and proud about the work we do in nurturing the future leaders and pillars of our society. Lastly, we would like to extend our gratitude to everyone who participated and helped make the event such a success.
